How a bottle is made
Eleven stops from plastic pellets to a sealed bottle on the shelf. Scroll to follow the road.
PET resin
Food-grade PET plastic pellets are dried so no moisture is trapped inside the material.
Preform moulding
Melted PET is injected into moulds to form a small, thick test-tube shaped preform with the final neck and thread already in place.
Reheating
Preforms are heated evenly to a soft, stretchable temperature without melting.
Stretch blow moulding
A rod stretches the preform while high-pressure air blows it against a bottle-shaped mould. This is where the flutes and the petal base are formed.
Rinse & inspect
Empty bottles are air-rinsed and checked for defects before they move to the filler.
Treated water, filled
Water that has passed through RO, UV and Ozonisation is filled into the bottle in a clean, closed line.
Capping & sealing
A tamper-proof cap is fitted straight after filling to keep the water sealed.
Batch coding
MFD and EXP are printed on each bottle so every unit can be traced.
Labelling
The Bluzen label with the nutrition facts and maker details is wrapped around the bottle.
Quality check
Bottles are checked for fill level, cap seal, label position and code print.
Packing & dispatch
Bottles are packed in cartons and shrink wrap, then sent to shops, offices and distributors.
